Blast from the past!
So my mom and aunt took pictures of these oil paintings I painted as a kid.
The hydrangeas was in 1989 (I was 13), the roses in 1988 (I was 12) and the still life with the teapot was in 1987 (I was 11). I started taking art lessons with a friend of my mom when I was about 7 or 8--Taty--I still remember her name, she was such a sweetie - RIP Taty.

Below is a collage of all the 30 paintings I did this month (the girl watching TV on the lower right) seems to be a popular one. Let me a comment below letting me know which is your favorite?
I actually did 31 paintings this moth...will post the other one soon..

Day 25 of 30 Paintings in 30 days
Day 25 of 30 Paintings in 30 days - A quick watercolor sketch of a Puertorican parrot - on my sketchbook...long, busy day so I'm exhausted and did something quick...but at least I kept up with the challenge...
Pardon the bad photo--corners are cream, not pink in real life
Day 24 of 30 Paintings in 30 days
Day 24 of 30 Paintings in 30 days: Seren - oil pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes paper (9x11 inches). Note: skintones are more pinkish in real life painting.
Seren is the gorgeous daughter of Sharon Whitley, a fellow PMP artist. Sharon, sorry that I made her look older in this pic. It's all due to the eyes being higher on the face (always my problem). She's a gorgeous girl!
I must confess....I'm running out of steam with this challenge...I usually have a painting or two in sketch stage when the weekend comes so I can get the painting done (due to my limited time on weekends)...not this time...so, we'll see what we come up with....Worse case scenario I present you one of the oil pastel resist + watercolor paintings I did with my girls a few days ago...
Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 days
Day 23 of 30 Paintings in 30 days - Lonely boat - watercolor on watercolor paper (11x15 inches)
I was more 'in the mood' for this one yet I'm not satisfied with how it turned out -- too overworked and boat perspective is a little off...Next...
Perhaps a square crop would help (getting rid of about 1/3 of the bottom part)
Day 22 of 30 Paintings in 30 days
Day 22 of 30 Paintings in 30 days - Colorful Boats - watercolor on watercolor paper (15x11 inches) based on PMP reference photo.
I pushed myself to paint this one because it was one of those days in which I had no motivation/mood to paint at all...
